"Duke" it out at Durham-Raleigh

In April 2006, the EPA Institute at Duke University, Durham-Raleigh, NC, approached AEROB-BETH Filtration with an exceptionally tricky problem. The question was whether the company could make an offer for a dry electrostatic precipitator that could be used in a test facility for purifying boiler emissions. Coal with varying concentrations of sulfur is used as fuel for the boiler's combustion. Additionally, experiments with various admixtures of wood and other fuel materials are conducted.

AEROB-BETH responded by offering a horizontal dry electrostatic precipitator and was promptly met with success: the contract was awarded to WEIS ENVIRONMENTAL, the company distributing BETH products in the USA, South America and Canada, in August of 2006.

The successful start-up of the horizontal dry electrostatic precipitator took place this June.

Already, the first test readings show that the filter is meeting the high expectations effortlessly.
