Advantages of the AEROB AAS-MMS filter:
- Clean gas dust contents are well below most legal limits, including MAC and German Clean Air Regulations
- Therefore, purified air can be recirculated into the production area
- No filter aid is required
- Low disposal costs, no hazardous waste
- Low maintenance costs
- Filter elements can be replaced in minutes
- Improved operational safety
- Cost-efficiency through simple and compact design
- High versatility and adaptability through modular design
Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) is increasingly entering the field of metal machining and has, in many sectors, become an established alternative to conventional wet machining. Many companies have discovered the enormous cost-saving potential that comes with reducing the use of cooling lubricants (CL).
Previous filtering methods
Unlike dry machining, MQL machining leaves oil droplets on the tool, resulting in emissions of vapor, aerosols and very fine dust particles that settle on the filter surface as a damp fog. This buildup causes the differential pressure to rise considerably – and thus necessitates frequent replacement of the filter elements.
To counteract this problem, previous filters had to be laboriously precoated with moisture-absorbing limestone, resulting in additional investment costs for the limestone and considerable follow-up costs for disposal and handling.
But all of these problems are a thing of the past with the newly developed AEROB AAS-MMS filter!
Innovative ideas
Rigid body filter elements with a newly developed impregnated surface coating prevent moisture and vapors from settling on the filter surface. Compared to previously employed filters, the low differential pressure of the new filter elements can considerably reduce energy costs. Additionally, a continual purging system results in a very long operating life. The special deflector plate prevents chips and shavings from damaging the filter medium – they can be easily removed from the cleaning drawer.
Playing it safe
For most companies, safety is one of the main requirements for any dust removal unit, along with trouble-free operation and cost-effectiveness. This is precisely why we have developed a special series of AEROB AERSTAR with explosion protection. Many applications require the safe extraction of flammable and explosive dusts. For these cases, AEROB AERSTAR is designed to conform to the requisite safety regulations for the prevention of explosions and, where necessary, is constructed to withstand explosions in accordance with: <7p>
DIN EN 1127-1
Potentially explosive atmospheres - explosion protection Part
1: Basic principles and systems engineering.
The specification and fitting of the requisite safety features depend on operational requirements and local conditions of the filter environment.
